Ker­te­min­de is a charming port town on Funen. Here you will find several wonderful beaches, idyllic scenery and a lovely town centre. Among other things, this is the place of the gourmet re­stau­rant Rudolf Mathies and in the summer, it is actually also to these parts that many people from Funen flock to get the best ice cream cone. Centrally located on Langeland, you will find the charming village Tranekær – a place with a lot of history. Tranekær is espe­ci­al­ly famous for Tranekær Castle and the castle park, TICKON – Tranekær In­ter­na­tio­nal Centre for Art and Nature where you can see works of art build from organic materials. The castle park is worth a visit re­gard­less the time of year. The charming village is sur­ro­un­ded by forests and coast­li­nes, the perfect in­vi­ta­tion to go cycling and hiking. While out, you may come across Tranekær Castle Mill that bear witness to the rich history of the area and the agri­cul­tu­ral tra­di­tions of Langeland.
