Fishing from a boat can be quite profitable. A single fish can be a feast for friends and family. If you would like to go out on the ocean, there are many possibilities for going out on a cutter or a tour boat to the good fishing spots. On coast trips, you will mainly be fishing for smaller fish, such as codfish, catfish, lings, mackerel or garfish.

The Yellow Reef
The Yellow Reef is a high plateu area on the edge of the Norwegian Deep off the coast of Northern West Jutland, approx. 2 hours of sailing from the coast, depending on the type of boat and the departure harbour. At the Yellow Reef, you will mainly catch codfish, coalfish, lings and pollack lythes. It is a great area for reef and wreck fishing, and there are several tour boats, mainly in Hanstholm and Hirtshals.
