Denmark has no less than 7,300 km of varied coast line, which makes Denmark very suitable for angling. The coasts vary from steep cliffs to flat sandy beaches and there are plenty of possibilities for beginners as well as the more seasoned anglers. A holiday home is perfect for an angling holiday. Most of our houses are close the coast, and you are never far from fishing areas, regardless if you prefer ocean, coast or freshwater fishing.

How to get a bite
All of Feriepartner Denmark’s agencies have brochures with local fishing possibilities. Contact the local agency and get information about where you have the best chance of getting a bite. They can also refer you to local angling associations and shops that have equipment, advice and guidance.

Remember your fishing license
All anglers between the age of 18 and 65 years have to bring a national fishing license, which can be issued for a day, a week or a year. You can purchase a fishing license at tourist agencies or on www.fisketegn.dk. Some lakes and streams are rented to angling associations. If you would like to fish in private lakes or streams, it requires a special fishing license, which you can purchase on www.dagkort.dk. Please note that fishing may be prohibited in some locations.

Minimum size limits and close seasons
Fishing regulations state minimum size limits and close seasons for certain types of fish and crayfish. If fish are caught during their close season or if they do not meet the minimum size limit, they have to be put back out.
